ALERT: Graco Recalls 36K Highchairs After 5 Children Injured

Graco, a well-known baby retailer, is recalling nearly 36,000 of its Table2Table 6-in-1 Highchairs after five children were injured by the product, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The North Carolina-based company said the legs of the chair can pivot out, causing the product to become unstable. In total, the CPSC said Graco received 38 reports of the chair falling over, including five children who were left with bumps and bruises as a result of the chair’s instability.

The convertible highchair was sold exclusively at Walmart stores throughout the U.S. between October 2016 and December 2017 for about $100. The recall also extends to Canada, where an additional 3,200 were sold.

To determine if your highchair is included in this recall, locate the following model number: 1969721 on the underside or backside of the chair. The flawed highchair features a white cushion with gold and gray polka dots.

Anyone in possession of the defective highchair should immediately stop using it. To fix the issue, Graco is offering free repair kit and installation instructions to impacted consumers. Visit Graco’s Product Recalls page to verify your highchair is included in this retraction and to order the free repair kit.
