Pinecrest Presbyterian expelled my six-year-old son from school for allegedly using the word "gay", without due process or appeal, with immediate effect. My six-year-old son doesn't even know what that word means, let alone understand the sensitivities surrounding it. The principal Rev. Bovold called me belligerent and barred me from visiting the church, because I spoke up for my son and about the deeply rooted problems at their school. This episode makes a mockery of Christian values. There is a presumption of innocence for young kids and a moral obligation to work with them constructively, but not at this school which prefers to vilify them like adult criminals.
