Tina's Home Away From Home Child Care

Thank you for your interest in Tina's Home Away From Home Child Care. As a life-long lover of children, I have been caring for kids since I was 10 years old. I am a very loving caregiver and truly want my home to be every child's home away from home. Welive in Pingree Grove in a very nice-sized home. It is clean and sanitary (although you will find toys scattered about from our playtime). We have a park directly across the street so we can all quickly and easily head outside for some safe outdoor fun. About me: I have a Bachelor's degree in Child Psychology with a minor in Family Life; then went on to receive my Elementary Education degree. I am the mom to a 14 year old boy, a 12 year old girl and most recently, a 3 month old girl. Due to my education and many experiences with children (especially my own), I have a strong knowledge of children's social, emotional, physical and mental needs. I believe that much learning comes from play. So while I provide structured arts and crafts, reading, song time, outdoor play, educational activities, cooking and other small and large motor activities throughout our day, if the wind blows us to the park instead of an art project or vice verse, then we go with it. :) I do NOT believe in physical punishment as discipline but instead use re-direction and positive attention. About my services: My hours are 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Mon-Fri. I am available for part-time or full-time care. The hourly rate depends on the number of days needed for child care.
