Rubber Ducky Family Day Care

I am a family day care, caring for infants - preschoolers, with a maximum capacity of 6 children. I am CPR Certified, First Aid, member of the Keystone Stars program, Licensed by DPW, Children's Food Pantry (breakfast, lunch & snacks are served) and havea loving hands on business with an honorable background in the day care arena. I am a ECE/Elementary School Teacher who enjoys the home environment for teaching my little ones. I use my imagination to spark interest in the children in my care and take advantage of those teachable moments preschoolers are known for. I prepare them for a successful future in Kindergarten without depending on take home 'worksheets'. For example, it is much more fun to count the worms we feed our turtles (pre-math skills), call out the colors of the butterflies we find on our butterfly bushes, where we duplicate them on paper with paint, crayons or markers (art). Count the legs on the grasshoppers with our magnifying glasses (science), or imitate the noise and movement of the crickets by imitation with our legs (kinetics). Dancing and laughing is as important, I try to incorporate as much as possible in a 10 hr day. Hours are flexible (7:30am-5:30pm), fees are for part time care (daily) or full time (M-F).
