Rebecca's In Home Daycare

I have always loved working with children. I love being part of their growing experience. I really believe children should have an opportunity for free/imaginative play, so they can discover their inner voice. I also believe that each child is different and will learn and discover at different rates. At my home they will be able to follow a routine with room to grow. We have the ablilty to adjust our time to the needs of the children, which also makes them feel like they are at their second home.

I am a mother of 3 children, two daughters 13 & 9 and a son 7. I have been providing childcare since my first daughter was a baby.I've provided childcare in the child's home, in a center and in my home. I am now a NY State licensed group daycare. I have CPR and First Aid. I have a BA in Psychology and Elementary Education from Iona College.

I love implementing art and preschool in my everyday practice. We paint, color, glue, cut, read, listen to music, dance, use our imaginations, have indoor/outdoor play, bake, nap, take walks & occassional field trips and have a great time together. I have a large library of books, tons of art supplies, lots of toys and dress up outfits. My goal is that the children walk away feeling proud of what they can do!

I will also be bringing my sister on as second provider. She has assisted me on and off for the pass two years. She has two daughters, 3yrs. and 4 mos.. She and I work very well together and our strengths complement each other.
