Nothing is more rewarding than seeing happiness in a child's face. Babysitting is something I've been asked and hired to do since I was 14 years old. I normally have 1-3 kids I would be responsible for at a time and have always been chosen to be aconsistent sitter for the parents. Babysitting comes naturally to me and I feel part of my calling in life involves kids. I currently babysit a 2 and 5-year-old boys a few times a month and have for over a year now. My 8-year-old niece has lived with me her whole life and I have a hand in helping to raise her. I worked for the YMCA for one school year and was in charge of K-2nd graders at elementary and learned a large amount of interacting with children, gaining their attention and respect, and also how to motivate each child and build their self-esteem. The parents for the current boys I sit for have never once had an issue or negative word to say about me and are always praising my good work to others and to myself.
