About 2nd Family

A family-owned business, 2nd Family began as a result of our own experience in searching for in-home care for our own loved one - our grandmother. We discovered first-hand that there was a huge void between the level of care available and the level of care that we wanted for our own loved on. It was frustrating and emotionally draining. Having gone through the process of trying to find someone to care for our loved one, we immediately felt compelled to fill that void and help others dealing with similarsituations. At 2nd Family we use trained Certified Nursing Assistants and Geriatric Nursing Assistants to provide the highest quality Personal Care and Home Care available. Because we've been through this before, we know the situations that we found ourselves in, the needs that we had, and where other care providers fell short. We started 2nd Family to be a one stop shop, leaving you with only one company to deal with for ALL of your needs as you go through the process. Finding in-home care for yourself or a loved one can be a daunting and stressful experience. Let us simplify things for you. Caregivers Who Care Senior care is an emotional experience. Our caregivers develop emotional bonds with our clients, making it more natural for them to provide assistance in the home setting. Your family has real needs, and our caregivers work hard to understand your specific circumstances and eliminate the stress of your situation. One of our favorite parts of this job is sitting down and talking with or reading a letter from a client or their family detailing how much of a difference we made in the lives of their family. Caregivers Who Are Trained From our own experience in finding a caregiver for our grandmother, we know how important it is that caregivers are properly trained. To begin with, each potential caregiver must pass "The Grandma Test ". The question is simple: "Would I send this person to care for my own grandmother? " If the answer is 'yes ', then we feel comfortable sending that caregiver to your family also. However, before becoming part of the 2nd Family team, we ensure that our caregivers have passed a written exam, have a clean background, and have several references from past employers. Caregivers Who Are Reliable We use a state-of-the-art GPS Mobile Timecard which tracks and reports every detail pertaining to your loved ones care. This information is available to you 24/7 online: Which caregiver came, at what time, and what did they accom
