My professional background is in occupational therapy (30 years). I have transitioned from the clinic to academia and miss the daily interaction with clients and their families. Becoming a provider allows me to do what I love, working with individuals and their families. I have experience working with the geriatric population, including people who have sustained a hip fracture, suffered a fall, dementia/Alzheimer's and other medical issues common to the elderly. As an OT, I am able to implement any home based therapy programs including strengthening, ADL instruction, use of assistive devices, and endurance training.
