About Vicki

I am a retired elementary school teacher with 30 years of teaching experience. During this time, I have taught pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and have tutored children through grade 3. I have experience working with children learning English as a second language (ESOL) and children with learning disabilities and language delays. I taught in kindergarten in public school for many years and my last teaching job was in a voluntary pre-kindergarten program preparing children to enter kindergarten. I would be happy to work with your child to help develop the skills needed to be successful in school. I focus on skills such as pre-reading, reading, math, language, and writing. I believe that children should be able to learn in a relaxed, supportive environment as this will help them to see learning as a positive experience. I can meet with you and your child to help determine which skills your child needs help with and to develop an action plan tailored to your child's needs and interests.
