About Ty

My name is Ty! I have a wide range of experience working with kids in different settings. I have taught music lessons, tutored, directed camps, led art workshops, coordinated volunteer experiences, and babysat. I am positive, outgoing, creative, and enjoy children of all ages. I love outdoor education, staying busy with activities, and engaging with learning or creative crafts and projects. I feel comfortable tutoring in most subjects with emphasis in sciences, mathematics, English, and Writing. I also teach piano lessons to multiple families with younger children. All students have been either beginner or intermediate level piano players. I have given lessons to different ages, as well as to students with special needs including Autism. Lessons are always paced according to each child, and are encouraging and engaging to help make lessons fun as well as informational. Reward systems and progress tracking also help students to stay interested.
