About Teresa

My name is Teresa and I am a trained professional tutor with an energetic passion for educating young minds! I have a strong background in church tutoring programs teaching children ages 4-12, but my specialty is in teaching children age 4-5 on how to begin reading for the first time. I come prepared with teaching materials and a proven curriculum on how to teach children in this age group how to 1) recognize all upper and lowercase letters of the alphabet 2) understand that letters are symbols of phonetic units 3) memorize the sound for each letter, and 4) string together letters to read words. I also tutor older students, some with ADHD and mild autism. I teach math, sciences, penmanship, social intelligence, and supplement all areas of distance learning. My tutoring hours can also double as babysitting. My available hours are Monday-Thursday, 1pm-7pm, and I prefer to work in the Seacliff, Richmond, Sunset (or neighborhoods adjacent to these).
