About Susan

I discovered Care. com while caring for my mom with Alzheimer's Disease. I had a lovely lady come in a few days a week to give my husband and I a break from lack of sleep. She was a lifesaver and my husband and I were much better caregivers with short breaks to recharge ourselves. My mom passed last year and I am now a retired teacher with time to do the things I love, like caring for the elderly, dog walking and petcare, tutoring students and helping busy families with help housekeeping. During the school year I do have a young lady I care for on Tuesdays and Thursdays but am available Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and most weekends. My friends, coworkers and family would describe me as patient, caring, sweet, fun and reliable.
