August 5, 2014: To Whom It May Concern: RE: STEPHANIE H. I am writing to provide a reference for Stephanie H. Stephanie worked for me in two different workplaces. When I was running an HR consulting business, Stephanie provided administrative support on a wide variety of projects. The work required flexibility, attention to detail and a high level of confidentiality. Stephanie always delivered excellent work products, well within the time frame I gave her. She learned tasks quickly and asked great questions to make sure she was on the right track. I felt very comfortable giving her work for my professional clients. Stephanie also worked as an HR Assistant for the Human Resources department at a Christian Camp. I asked her to work with personnel files, which required long hours of detailed work. She can accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. She moved mountains of paperwork, both digital and hard copies. She learns systems quickly and makes a great member of a team. I would hire Stephanie again in a heartbeat. She and I have also been friends for over 4 years. We met because my husband and I were invited to the house church that Stephanie and Mike were starting, and we formed an instant connection. Stephanie also has a strong gift of hospitality. Her warm and genuine personality puts other at ease, even if she is busy hosting a large group. She carries a strong sense of intuition that enables her to read peoples' needs from across the room. She can graciously swing conversations if someone is uncomfortable, or reach out to a new person and introduce them to the group. The best thing about Stephanie is her close walk with God. She has developed a life of worship and peace. You can tell she spends time with Jesus because she doesn't just sing about God in worship, she sings to Him personally. She and Mike often led beautiful worship times at the house church. Out of the strength of being in God's presence, Stephanie brings bold truth to a conversation. I love our talks over coffee because she knows the love of God can overcome anything in our lives, and she shares that hope in the most genuine way. When I was in very difficult personal circumstances, Stephanie was the first person I spoke with. She stayed peaceful and watchful for what God could do. She encouraged me with Scripture, prayer, a listening ear and reminders of God's truth. I have seen Stephanie bring out graceful truth in a large group when the conversation took a bad turn. She will not let people hurt each other in her presence - she steps in with a shepherding heart to bring the bold love of God for both parties. I have learned a tremendous amount from Stephanie about speaking the truth in love. Stephanie has a great balance in her life between laughter and seriousness. She and Mike have often asked us over to play games or go play in a park. Their jokes and laughter do as much to minister to a group of people as their serious side. Stephanie is willing to sacrifice a lot for God's best. Her recent position as a foster parent with Mike took more energy and endurance than one could imagine. She persevered through emotionally heavy circumstances, a physically draining schedule, and very little time off. I was very impressed with how she kept an attitude of servant-heartedness and devotion to God's best for the kids. All of these traits together make Stephanie a very safe person to be around. She has a healthy transparency and dependence on God - more than that, an expectation of how God can pull miracles. I love our working relationship and friendship because we can share any burden. I know we are going to help each other get closer to God in our walk, through laughter, hope and truth. I trust Stephanie within the workplace and as a personal friend.
