About Sheris

Hi there! My name is Sheris! I enjoy telling people that a way to remember my name and pronunciation is like the candy Reese's Pieces. At the age of 18, I started my babysitting career by watching my younger sister (4 years old at the time) when my parents had date nights or long errands to run. At first, I felt so pressured with the thorough tasks of child-care: preparing snacks, cleaning surfaces/tidying up, cooking dinner, and finding ways to make such a lively kid go to sleep for bedtime. But with time and patience, I found the responsibilities to be rewarding as I built a routine. I enjoyed helping her with homework, playing games with her, and even finding silly topics of discussion as you'd imagine with a 3-6-year-old. This wholesome experience led me to pursue a career in child-care and teaching. I've worked as an after school behavioral therapist, after school teacher (grades K-6th), YMCA lifeguard, and children's swim instructor. Absolutely thrilled to be a sitter!
