About Shana

Hello! My name is Shana, rhymes with banana! I'm looking to babysit or pet sit. I drive. I'm 24. I love music, (guitar, bass, sing), story telling, drawing (love cartoons) being outside (gardening/hikes) and animals. I have experience with children ages 0-8. I have three nieces and one nephew that I've cared for over the years. Two that come over regularly and are babysat by my mother and I twice a week for 8 hours on avg. They are 4 yrs old and 4 mo. old. I'm aware that children may need more care be it patience or medical. I love encouraging kids to find their niche and to be expressive of themselves. I find its a great way to find more out about the world around them and themselves. I insist to be formally introduced to the parent/guardian(s) and child(ren) (or pets!) before the job begins so that boundaries are set and everyone (everyone!) is sure they're comfortable with each other as being in one's home caring for their loved ones is indeed, very personal.
