About Shaina

Hello there! My name is Shaina and I have 4 years of formal babysitting experience, along with several years of informal experience as I am the oldest of three siblings. I am fluent in Hindi and have lived in four countries throughout my life, namely, India, Dominica, Saint Lucia, and currently the United States. These experiences have led to a substantial enhancement in my cultural competence. This exposure has not only broadened my worldview but has also honed my ability to navigate cross-cultural interactions with sensitivity, respect, and adaptability. I was formerly a lifeguard so I have received training in CPR, first aid, and water safety. I have experience tutoring elementary and middle schoolers and have volunteered as a preschool teacher's assistant. I recently graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor's degree in social work which has further enhanced my skills in the helping and caring profession. I love animals and am comfortable around pets.
