I have life-long experience working with individuals with special needs. My sister has Asperger s Syndrome along with epilepsy, dysarthria and apraxia. I volunteered at NHS Autism School for 7 years. I have experience working with high-functioning Autism, low-functioning Autism, individuals with Down-Syndrome and children who are epileptic. I also did work with Autism Speaks, fundraising, planning and executing events as well as leading the group as President of the on campus organization. I also volunteered at a nursing home for about 5 years while I was in junior high/high school. I have gained a great deal of compassion for acceptance from my experiences. I currently nanny multiple families in the Pittsburgh area. I'm looking for occasional jobs now that I have my baby girl who is 8 months. Ideally she'd come with me but that's not a make or break.

Savannah is a great role model for my girls ages 7 and 8, very upbeat, playful, and responsible. She fit right in as a member of our household and began to contribute immediately. My daughter age 8 has behavioral and sensory issues with which I have been struggling to help her. Savannah's experience with other similar children meant that she was able to help substantially with that effort.
