Extensive experience working and living with adults with developmental disabilities ranging from Autism, Down syndrome, traumatic brain injuries, cerebral palsy and beyond. I have worked with many different populations in many different setting - from summer camps to living in group homes. I have conversational knowledge of American Sign Language, and familiarity with augmentative communication devices such as the Tobii Dynavox. I am compassionate and patient, and serving those with special needs is a vocation I feel called to. Above all, I am passionate about mutual respect, kindness, and having fun! My master's degree is in Special Education, and my most recent background is in employment training and job coaching. However, I am currently looking for hours as a hab aid focusing on recreation and community support!
