About Samantha

I have worked for the Apple Valley Recreation for the After School Program for about a year. The grade group varied from Kindergarten to Fifth Grade. I baby sat an infant all last summer (she just turned 2 years old). I coached for a 4/5th Grade basketball team last summer for the Hesperia Recreation Center. I volunteered to help a 6-year-old boy with disabilities for swimming lessons two summers ago. He was severely autistic, with no communication skills. I am currently volunteering for an organization that takes children from ages 5 to 17, to a week long. These children have parent who are affected by cancer, so we give them a free week long fun camp with counseling. I have been involved with this camp for about a year now. I am also the oldest of 5, my siblings are currently 16, 12, 8, and 3. So I have always been surrounded with younger children!
