I'd describe myself as thoughtful, humorous, empathic. I like caring for seniors because I've always had a deep respect for the elderly. I feel they're an underserved and misunderstood population. I miss my grandparents, and I'm geographically close enough to care for my parents. I'd welcome the chance to form a bonded friendship with the right person and would hope to be of service to them. I'm looking for a job that allows me to form friendships and be of service. I started caring for seniors in my 20s. My father and I provided complete care for his mother for 9 months after she had a debilitating stroke, through her last days with hospice. I've never worked for seniors in a professional capacity, but I deeply respect the emotional needs of the aging. I like to read and research topics of interest. I am mom to 4 homeschooled children. I love cats! I enjoy humor and the healing benefits it can provide. My skills include conversation, companionship, assistance with tasks.
