About Adeli

My husband Chris is leaving this review: I would call Adeli a ‘Super Caregiver.’ She is by far the most compassionate, well organized, meticulous, and wise caregiver my family has hired. She has been so kind and gentle with my father over the past several years, until his recent passing. She did everything to make him comfortable, happy, and living in a safe, clean and healthy environment. She always went well beyond any of my family members’ expectations and we were all amazed at the sacrifices she made to provide for my father. She was always kind and caring, but on occasion when my recalcitrant father was unwilling, she had to persuade him to take care of himself, e.g. hygiene. She didn’t only serve as a caregiver but she constantly kept up with home necessities, serving as a constant companion, cook, and befriending him without patronizing him or making him feel belittled or useless. She has a magical way of dealing with both the patient and the family; I think because her primary goal was and is always: compassion first. However, she is very logical and very capable of engaging in critical thinking, and made many, many relevant suggestions in both daily decisions and longer-term decisions that were about his care. These were not her decisions, but she provided sound careful advise based on her vast experience of working with the elderly. She will forever remain my family’s friend for all her sacrifice and care of my father. Nobody would say that she did just a ‘normal day’s work’--all of her days were filled with going the extra mile(s) beyond what we thought a caregiver should provide. Minimal was NOT in her vocabulary. Any client who gets Adeli as a caregiver will be blessed by her work, her humanity, and her deep desire to help others. I cannot say enough great things about her.
