Hi everyone! My name is Riley and I'm 19 years old. I'm currently transitioning from being a full time VPK teacher and have previously worked at a local daycare as the infant teacher for 2 years. I have also worked as a long term nanny for two amazing families. I plan to pursue a career in elementary education and have experience working with special needs. My availability is open and I'm very flexible. I am CPR and first aid, AED as well as DCF certified and have gone through fire extinguisher training. I have experience looking after children from 8 weeks- 15 years old. I am willing to help tidy up, provide age appropriate activities as well as prepare meals. Please reach out! After hitting her, Riley canceled on us 2 hours before she was scheduled to start leaving me unable to go to work. She was informed that we have no family connections and no childcare options which is why we're using this platform. She confirmed on Saturday to start today (Monday). I wish she would have informed us that she intended to continue searching for other opportunities to allow us the same. But leaving us stranded and risking my job is a foul move. I find that to be highly inconsiderate. To be fair, and the reason I'm giving her 2 stars instead of 0: she seemed to check all the boxes for our family - she seemed kind, knowledgeable, and our children seemed to like her when we interviewed her. So we are disappointed. If you're able to hire her and she performs as she presented herself, you might have a great nanny. But from our experience today, I don't know about reliability. But we wish her the best.
