About Rebecca

I'm passionate about helping people living with dementia find more joy in their lives by providing in-home activities and companionship care. I also provide consulting for families and dementia workshops for caregivers. I love what I do and have learned an incredible amount from my clients and their families! I'm a Certified Trainer with Positive Approach to Care (Teepa Snow's Company) and a Certified Dementia Practitioner with the NCCDP, and spent many years as the activity director/assistant of a large memory care facility. For me it's all about quality of life, so I provide art, exercise, music (as a musician myself), service projects and much more . I also provide hand-on therapies like acupressure, reflexology and aromatherapy. I graduated from massage therapy school and have a B. S. in psychology. I enjoy working closely with families to reduce stress and improve communication, transitions, etc, because in reality the whole family is living with dementia now and all need support.

Rebecca is a creative and compassionate beauty who lights up the room with her joyful spirit. She arrives with a Mary Poppins-like bag filled with books, puzzles, musical instruments and other activities to engage my husband's deteriorating mind. I can see that he loves the spotlight and warm companionship while I benefit from the free time to manage our affairs or just rest and recharge. For these key reasons, Rebecca has become an indispensable part of our lives, someone we recommend without hesitation.
