About Rachel

I tutor students in elementary-level reading, writing, and language arts. I specialize in working with students who have developmental disabilities, including those who use AAC to communicate. I utilize the principles of the Science of Reading in my instruction, and I take a neurodiversity-affirming approach. I strongly believe that every person should have access to quality literacy instruction, and that increasing literacy skills invariably leads to more effective communication skills. I have a Master's degree in Special Education from George Mason University.
