About Rachel

Bright, curious, creative, and energetic, I am passionate about exploring the natural world with kids. With 10+ years of work, travel, and personal growth experience, I have assembled a diverse toolbox for connecting with kids of varying ages, needs, and temperaments. I have built upon my natural aptitude for teaching with graduate-level education coursework and applied that to my work as a substitute teacher and SAT & ACT tutor. But I truly come alive outside! Nature-based, play-based, experiential adventures are my specialty. A NOLS-trained outdoor educator, I have also worked as a nature mentor; a hiking and biking trip leader; a ski and tennis instructor; and a winter naturalist. Since the pandemic, I have been employed as a nanny for several families, caring for mixed groups of children aged 6 mo - 8 years. I love games, arts & crafts, outdoor adventures, and having fun; and am currently available for part-time or temporary jobs that can fill in gaps in my regular schedule.
