When I was little, we always had a more low maintenance pet. However, for the past 6 years we have had cats and/or dogs that I have been able to tend to more while I'm at home. We had 2 rescue cats that both unfortunately passed due to heart conditions and other pathologies because of their life prior to being with us. Now we have 2 puppies that I take care of and walk every day. I have dog and cat sat for several of my family friends.
