About Nancy

I am a retired teacher certified in Elementary Education and SpEd for Learning Disabilities. Most of my 15 years + of active teaching took place in a Resource Room where students from GRADES 1-5 were pulled out from their regular class to spend more individualized time to strengthen their skills in reading, writing, and math. I truly enjoyed seeing students grow in their area of weakness and strived to make them succeed and feel more confident in learning. I always tried to incorporate subject matter that was of special interest to them. Individual tutoring is always a great way to influence a student's learning process with the extra attention I can give them. If possible I will work with the child's teacher(s) in planning what's best to work on over the summer I consider myself to be a very patient and understanding person and qualified teacher. I enjoy the challenge of teaching students who are struggling, and help them gain more confidence.
