I have several years of experience teaching both general education and special education students. I offer a variety of services at the elementary level to help your child feel confident in their abilities and set them up for an academic career full of success! In addition to math, reading, and writing; I can also teach social skills and executive functioning skills (impulse control, working memory, organization, etc.) These skills are essential for learning and can be improved through explicit teaching and practice. Teaching children of all abilities is a passion of mine and I believe that learning should be fun for everyone! I value using multi-sensory instructional approaches to maximize learning and engagement to meet your child's needs. Let's create those "lightbulb moments"!

Our daughters school wanted to hold our daughter back from entering kindergarten because her English language skills were lackluster due to it being her second language. We hired Melanie to help her with her ability to speak, read and write in English and in very little time our daughter has become confident in her English reading, speaker and writing abilities. Melanie has been absolutely wonderful in every aspect always putting in a high level of effort to help our daughter's development. If you are looking for someone to help your child I couldn't recommend anyone more highly.
