About Mary Anne

Hi, I'm Mary Anne! My desire to provide a secure, caring nest for children to thrive and grow has been the foundation for my work with children (from toddlers to school-age) for 16 years. I would love to help your children explore their own interests and the wonderful world around them, to make every experience meaningful. I've been lucky to have quite a bit of higher education behind me in understanding the latest research, but ultimately it is my own lived experience that tells me that social and emotional learning (self-awareness, social awareness, responsible decision-making, self-management, and relationship skills) form the foundation for all other kinds of learning. I work to understand each child's needs and what they deeply care about, which enables me to tune into both the challenges that they are ready for and where they might need support. I want to support your family's morals and ethics. I also enjoy multitasking, cooking, errands and laundry. I'd love to meet with you!
