Child Care Provider

(9)
I'm an experienced child care provider. A little over 10 years of experience. Started to do babysitting since I was 14 during my HS years for extra money and found jobs which have gained me a lot of experience. I am now 25. I am smoke free, drug free, energetic and very patient with kids. I also believe that there is always a right approach with every kid towards their behavior and I am very observant with that. I also play the guitar, and ukulele. I love music and arts so if you think your child would like a musical introduction or want to get into arts and crafts I can be a perfect fit. Not into that? Want your kids to burn energy and be outside? not a problem with me, I am a fan of outdoors too! CPR & BLS certified? Yes. I also have DOJ Background Check and CAI (Child Abuse Index). Certifications & background checks are usually requested and paid for by parents. Shall we set up an interview? Let me try and impress you. I preferred to be called "Iya" ( it's my nickname)

Iya has been taking care of my son for one year. And we would love to continue our contract with her and recommend her to any family in the future. She has been a wonderful nanny. She is very experienced and has great knowledge about baby, toddler development. She pays careful attention to my sons progress and provide stimulus and activities suitable for his development needs. She is very good at communication. It was very easy for us to reach the same understanding of how we like her to work with our son and what is our philosophy of child raising. She then is very consistent on all the ideas we have agreed on. She is also a very professional person. We have no issues on all the terms we had agreed on upon hiring. Any issues and changes, she always discusses with us professionally before hand and the requests are always professional. We feel very lucky to have her as our son's nanny. We strongly recommend her to any family who are looking for nanny.

I've been a childcare provider for 30+ years and have worked with hundreds of preschool and school-aged children.

I have taught at public and private preschools, public elementary schools, and family daycare centers including Santa Clara Unified schools, Bowers, Washington Open, Wilson, Briarwood, Hughes, and Montague.

I raised six children of my own and was an active parent participant at their schools and extracurricular activities.

I have 40+ child development units, 130+ hours of professional development training, and an associate teacher's permit.

I am certified in pediatric CPR, AED and First Aid. I have Live Scan fingerprinting, a background check, and am a mandated reporter. I have extensive experience with English language learners.

My licensed family daycare facility (license #434411459) provides a full classroom environment for a variety of learning activities including math, science, cooking, music, sensory development, small and large motor development, conflict resolution, and outdoor play.

Our large classroom includes dedicated areas for reading, art projects, playhouse and dress-up, building, puzzles, science, and cooking, as well as outdoor spaces for biking, water play, climbing, and sports activities. We go on walking field trips to nearby parks and libraries.

I prepare a daily educational curriculum with activities centered around a theme. For example, Letter Jj Day, Counting & Sorting Day, Patterns Day, Cooking Day, Sewing Day, Color Green Day, Feelings Day, Nature Walk Day, Book Day, Measuring Day, Bubbles Day, Exercise Day, Opposites Day, Rhyming Day, Gardening Day, etc.

I provide breakfast, drinks, snacks, teeth brushing, and laundry services. Children bring their own lunches. Each child is provided for individually based on his or her dietary needs.

A report is sent home each day outlining foods eaten, nap times, and the activities that each child participated in.

I am open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. I accept full-time, part-time, and drop-in students ages 1 year and up. Children do not need to be potty trained.

The children in my program are a very large part of each others lives, as well as mine. It is very much like a family.

Please call or email with questions or to arrange a preschool tour!

Miss Karen is wonderful person I have ever met. My 3 year old son started going to Karen's preschool and he loves it. He enjoys being with other kids around to learn different things each day. Miss Karen tells me all the great things what my son did learn. Highly Recommend Miss Karen's preschool.

Hello, my name is Tessa. I started my daycare 6 years ago after being a nanny for over 5 years, and I have the pleasure of being Mama to the sweetest 2 year old boy and 9 month old girl. I enjoy creating a happy home and feel that a small, intimate home daycare environment is a wonderful place for little ones. It's not comparable to any child care centers, nor is it babysitting. It's families in a relationship and partnership with a professional caregiver that builds trust while caring about each other and educating each other. It's an environment that, by design, becomes a second home. In a smaller setting I am able to build a sense of security and help develop social skills in a warm, friendly environment that is not overwhelming and at the same time, provide individualized care.

The children will learn basics like shapes, colors, numbers, and letters, at age appropriate levels through exploration and play. We play games, get messy and experience our environment with different crafts and activities, visit the park daily, read lots of books, and practice kindness and compassion towards others as well as learn other important life lessons. I provide the parents with a daily log to let them know how their child's day was and help keep the lines of communication open.

I have scaled back on how many children I watch, so I can provide the best quality care for each child. I currently have one spot available and since I will only be watching your child and my own, I can ensure that I will be able to provide top notch care.

We have a well behaved, 12 year old Rat Terrier dog named Miles that hangs out in the garage and side yard during business hours and is current on all his immunizations. I look forward to hearing from you and building a trusting and caring relationship with you around your child. Thank you! Tessa
