Full-Time Nanny Looking For A Welcoming Family

I love being around children and love working with kids. It is one of my life's biggest happiness to be around children. I have been a part time nanny for the past four years and have had wonderful working relationships with very loving families and children. I am very understanding but firm with energetic children or when kids express negative behavior. I believe every child is unique and I can always learn something new from a child. I have experience working with infants up to 4-year-old children. I also adore infants and can change diapers, feed, burp and bathe babies. My favorite part of working with young children is helping them learn, explore, and have fun through enriching arts and crafts, games, and short lesson plans. I am also comfortable with creating routine and following the daily schedule of every child based on the need and want of the parents. I am able to provide transportation for children to and from activities. Reference letter can be provided upon request.

Mai was an excellent back-up nanny for us when our nanny was away. Mai was a few minutes early every day and that made it easy for me to transition to my work-from-home job in a timely way. She was detail-oriented about checking what my daughter (5-years-old) needed to accomplish during distance learning. She sat with my daughter to keep her on track during her online lessons. During down times, Mai also took care of housekeeping needs, such as cleaning the kitchen. Mai has a slight accent, but by the second day my daughter had no trouble understanding what Mai was saying. I would definitely hire Mai again!

I know that physical and mental development of kids is really important this is why I like to practice activities that allow them to show their skills.

Diana, is the most outstanding nanny. We know her for 4 years. She has worked part time for us starting when my s & d were 18 months and 3. We all love Diana! What can you expect when you hire? Diana has extremely high work ethics. She is honest and ALWAYS punctual. She had not missed a single work day with us, and she is truly present with the children at all times (no phone calls etc.). She also follows ALL instructions, and there is no need to repeat them. You also can trust that she will 100% respect you the parent, and your personal approach to child rearing. We loved that Diana is an independent and mature person. I trusted her driving my children to parks and activities. The kids were always safe with her (incl. sun protector, clean hands etc.). Last and most importantly, now that we don't need Diana's services, we miss her dearly, since she is the most loving, fun, and caring nanny. She only speaks Spanish, but her daughter speaks English. Her whole family is wonderful.

I've been a childcare provider for 30+ years and have worked with hundreds of preschool and school-aged children.

I have taught at public and private preschools, public elementary schools, and family daycare centers including Santa Clara Unified schools, Bowers, Washington Open, Wilson, Briarwood, Hughes, and Montague.

I raised six children of my own and was an active parent participant at their schools and extracurricular activities.

I have 40+ child development units, 130+ hours of professional development training, and an associate teacher's permit.

I am certified in pediatric CPR, AED and First Aid. I have Live Scan fingerprinting, a background check, and am a mandated reporter. I have extensive experience with English language learners.

My licensed family daycare facility (license #434411459) provides a full classroom environment for a variety of learning activities including math, science, cooking, music, sensory development, small and large motor development, conflict resolution, and outdoor play.

Our large classroom includes dedicated areas for reading, art projects, playhouse and dress-up, building, puzzles, science, and cooking, as well as outdoor spaces for biking, water play, climbing, and sports activities. We go on walking field trips to nearby parks and libraries.

I prepare a daily educational curriculum with activities centered around a theme. For example, Letter Jj Day, Counting & Sorting Day, Patterns Day, Cooking Day, Sewing Day, Color Green Day, Feelings Day, Nature Walk Day, Book Day, Measuring Day, Bubbles Day, Exercise Day, Opposites Day, Rhyming Day, Gardening Day, etc.

I provide breakfast, drinks, snacks, teeth brushing, and laundry services. Children bring their own lunches. Each child is provided for individually based on his or her dietary needs.

A report is sent home each day outlining foods eaten, nap times, and the activities that each child participated in.

I am open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. I accept full-time, part-time, and drop-in students ages 1 year and up. Children do not need to be potty trained.

2315 Talia Ave, Santa Clara, CA

Starting at $15/hr

Hello, my name is Tessa. I started my daycare 6 years ago after being a nanny for over 5 years, and I have the pleasure of being Mama to the sweetest 2 year old boy and 9 month old girl. I enjoy creating a happy home and feel that a small, intimate home daycare environment is a wonderful place for little ones. It's not comparable to any child care centers, nor is it babysitting. It's families in a relationship and partnership with a professional caregiver that builds trust while caring about each other and educating each other. It's an environment that, by design, becomes a second home. In a smaller setting I am able to build a sense of security and help develop social skills in a warm, friendly environment that is not overwhelming and at the same time, provide individualized care.

The children will learn basics like shapes, colors, numbers, and letters, at age appropriate levels through exploration and play. We play games, get messy and experience our environment with different crafts and activities, visit the park daily, read lots of books, and practice kindness and compassion towards others as well as learn other important life lessons. I provide the parents with a daily log to let them know how their child's day was and help keep the lines of communication open.

I have scaled back on how many children I watch, so I can provide the best quality care for each child. I currently have one spot available and since I will only be watching your child and my own, I can ensure that I will be able to provide top notch care.

We have a well behaved, 12 year old Rat Terrier dog named Miles that hangs out in the garage and side yard during business hours and is current on all his immunizations. I look forward to hearing from you and building a trusting and caring relationship with you around your child. Thank you! Tessa
