Hi! My name is Madison, I am a 21-year-old female originally from South Louisiana. I moved to Salinas from Rhode Island to serve my second term as an AmeriCorps VISTA. I have 8+ years of experience babysitting all different ages of children - from infant to around 13 years old. I've also spent a year serving in a 4th grade inclusion classroom through the City Year AmeriCorps program in Rhode Island, so I have experience with multiple different physical and mental disabilities. In addition to my babysitting experience, I co-taught beginner swim lessons for children 4-12 years old for two years. I absolutely love kids and think that fostering healthy and trustworthy relationships with children help them (and me) continue to grow into more caring and thoughtful human beings. I am very crafty, love music and can cook very well.

Madison is the best sitter we have ever had! Hands down!! She is so easy going, easy to get along with and puts my family's mind at ease! My daughter loves her and I feel that Madison cares for her in such a fun and loving way! She plays, interacts, feeds, changes and takes care of my daughter effortlessly. Madison has also helped with my fur baby and loves her as well! If I ever need to hire anyone else in the future each one will be compared to Madison! I could go on and on!! We love Madison!

We hired Andrea at the beginning of the year to care for our 3 young, active boys 4 days a week while I worked. We were searching for a nanny who wanted the position long term, was committed, trustworthy, etc and one who would connect with our kids and especially play actively with them outdoors. Andrea arrived each day with a smile on her face and our kids attached to her. I felt safe allowing them to go with her to local parks and the library. My only concerns: shortly after hiring her, she let me know her situation had changed and that she would have to leave early each day. My work schedule is fixed and so this created a problem for me. However, my kids were already attached to her and so we made the effort to keep her and try to work out the situation on my end. She started taking several off (she did give me notice), and my kids started complaining regularly that she wasn't playing with them anymore but was just watching them play or on her phone instead.

Hey there. I m a dependable and compassionate sitter with more than 13 years experiences. I have worked with newborns, premature babies, and toddlers. I have worked with twins and special need children who have autism to bipolar depression. I also have experience with children who need to be given a shot on a daily base. CPR and first aid as well. Depends on the age of the child but my day usually begins with getting them ready for the day followed by making breakfast. Work on small arts and crafts or a simple day at the park. Have lunch in the go or prepare lunch back at home. Have some time in the playroom meanwhile it becomes later and it s time for shower time and dinner. Closing my day. If the child isn't older, my day starts with dropping the child of at school and picking them up afterwards. Often times, I take them to any extra curricular group they belong too; sports, ballet, and swim class. I'm moving to Salinas Ca. Area Thank you

Magdalena has been a dream for my boys! She's been working with us for the last couple of months. We have 3 boys ages 1, 3 and 5. She knows how to care for babies and kids of different ages and different developmental stages with energy and love. She's not just a sitter who is going to watch your kids from the couch. She gets down and plays at their level, takes them outside and has fun with them. It didn't take long for my kids to warm up to her because they love that she likes to play and talk with them. With my baby, H, she will cook up yummy beans and lentils for him (which he devours), takes him for a couple of walks during the day, bathes him and puts him down for nap. She very punctual and leaves the house better looking than when she arrived. She's a mom herself, so she "gets it." She knows at the end of the day, everyone's tired and the last thing we want is to come home to a messy playroom with dirty dishes in the sink. She has that mom instinct. The only reason we're not going work with her on a regular basis is because we're getting an Au Pair. My husbands travel schedule is hectic so it's made sense for our family to have someone living with us. So, sadly, we won't be seeing Magdalena every week. But we will definitely be reaching out to her for date nights or if my husband and I go away for a weekend. She's one of the best nannies in the area and we're so lucky to have met her!

PRESCHOOL:

As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active too.

Ages 2-3:

Let us help your 2-year-old develop his/her independence and confidence in a setting that encourages a sense of community. We plan your child's activities based on a program grounded in early childhood fundamentals. Your young learner will increase her language ability, practice early counting skills and learn to cooperate with friends through group activities.

TODDLERS:

As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. Our curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences such as circle time (learning letters & numbers in both English and Spanish). So each day is filled with fun activities, indoors and out, that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.

INFANTS:
Babies grow and learn every day. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where babies can explore and make new discoveries. We know that learning through play is extremely valuable at this age and our Infant program is designed to give babies the skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifetime of learning.
