Our family was incredibly fortunate to work with Mariela as our nanny for more than 3 years, from when our son was just 5 months old, until he went to preschool this past fall. She was overwhelmingly caring, patient, responsible, and resourceful while engaging with our son, and the two of them have developed an amazing bond. She cared for our son individually for the first 2 years, and we had a share care agreement in place with another family for the past year, which also worked great. She did an excellent job of taking care of both kids, and she has amazing powers of persuasion when it comes to getting them to cooperate. She took them to numerous activities all over the city, from playgrounds and parks to music, art, and gym classes. She also teamed up with other nannies in the neighborhood, so the kids had a robust social group, which they saw almost every day. I highly recommend Mariela for your family. It was an absolute joy to work with her. She’s fluent in English, but interacted with our son in Spanish, which we loved. And she helped us through so many developmental milestones, from sign language and solid foods early on, to potty training and emotional development more recently. We couldn't have done it without her.
