Being methodical, and systematically breaking down what is hard to grasp into simplified and easily understood concepts and formulas makes it easy for whoever I am training. My confirmations come in when I start noticing the assenting nods, a slow breaking out of grins to widening smiles, and seeing the glint of a twinkle in the student's eyes. My first experience started in high school as a teacher's aid when I was made to handle a class of 5 kids teaching them religion once a week. On the side, I joined study groups, tutored the slow-learners & continued in college. When I worked at a learning center, I hired tutors to help out kids needing assistance in their subjects. I filled in whenever all tutors were fully booked. Tutoring became a part of my life. There were always some students and young friends needing help in certain subject, whether it was English, Math, Sociology, etc. What they considered boring became not-so-boring after they sat down with me.
