About Maria

Hello everyone! I am a mother to a sweet 17-month-old and caregiver to an adult with disabilities. I am seeking part time work in the morning, and would be bringing my son along with me! In the evenings or for overnights I would not need to bring my son as he will be asleep at home in the care of my husband. I currently work from 2-7 and am responsible for bathing, meal prepping, assistance with toileting, companionship & light housekeeping. My grandfather passed away in 2018 after living with dementia & hearing loss during his last 5 years. His wife, my grandmother passed away last year after losing her vision & hearing, but she had an incredibly sharp mind. They lived with my family along with my uncle with autism for the last 10 years & I was very involved in their care. It is what has pushed me to pursue Social Work and Caregiving over the last 8 years. I am completely understanding of the need for someone kind, empathetic, & trustworthy to help care for you or your loved one.
