About Malia

Hi there, My name is Malia, and I am a Columbia graduate with a psychology degree and years of experience in tutoring of all ages. I have also worked as a teaching assistant with K-12 special education students, where I provided intensive one-on-one help for students with various learning disabilities. I specialize in English, Math, SAT test prep, college applications, and writing, and have raised my students' scores by over 50 percent since starting our sessions. I am extremely studied in the college application process and can help build a plan to get into the student's dream schools, if this is their ultimate goal. I am a patient tutor who is oriented towards tailoring my teaching style to the particular student's needs. I generally take a session to get to know the student and develop a study plan.
