About Makiya

I'd describe my personality as fun, outgoing, and caring. I started working with kids when I was in middle school. In my spare time, I like to go hiking, shop, go walk by the water and spend time with family and friends. One thing you should know about me is I'm a Seattle native. I moved to Michigan to run track at Oakland University. I recently graduated with my bachelor's degree and am pursuing my master's at Eastern Michigan. I took care of my coach's2-year-old son since he was 5 months, and have grown up taking care of my younger sister, who is 7 years younger than me, and many of her friends/classmates when I lived back home. My skills include patience, physical stamina, and problem solving skills.
