About Kayla

Hi! I'm Kayla. When I was younger, I remember going along with my grandma to play with the kids she nannied. That was always a special time for me as I got to watch my grandma take care of the family and build relationships. I graduated from the University of Michigan in December with a master's degree in social work. During my graduate degree program, I was a children's therapist focusing on trauma and helping kids with emotional regulation, coping skills, conflict resolution, and feelings identification. My experience will be truly beneficial as I am passionate about children developing healthy skills during their emotional and cognitive stages of development. I love doing creative activities, being out in nature, and playing games! I have always been a natural caregiver and have two amazing nephews. I look forward to chatting about being your family's new nanny. My last job was an assistant teacher position at a Montessori preschool.
