About Makayla

My name is Makayla. I graduated from Sonoma State University with a degree in Early Childhood Development. At the age of 15, I spent summers babysitting for my cousins who have autism. I also took care of children for my High School teachers. My love for children followed me to college. During college I had the opportunity to spend all four years observing and engaging with children. I primarily focused on physical, social emotional, cognitive, and motor development. After college my career in full time childcare continued. I genuinely enjoy spending time with children for fun and work is a plus. I have had the pleasure to work with many different types of families. Childcare is very rewarding, I learned the key is to be adaptive. With that follows patience and love. I am excited for what the future holds and for the opportunity to work with a family that is searching for an experienced and reliable caregiver/nanny/house manager.
