About Maddison

I am a 3rd-5th grade classroom teacher. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education, and a valid teaching license for ECE and Elementary School. I have 4 years experience teaching elementary literacy- including phonics, phonemic awareness, reading, grammar, writing, and English language development for multi-lingual learners- as well as elementary math, science, social studies, physical and mental health, and social-emotional wellness. I taught 2nd grade virtually for 1. 5 years through zoom and google classroom during Covid. I substitute taught in Denver Public Schools for 2 years. I was a teachers assistant and intern teacher for early childhood and Montessori centers for 3 years. I also have experience as a paraprofessional in Special Education classrooms.
