About Luevenia

As a retired federal manager and nonprofit program manager, I have found myself frequently being called upon to assist with the needs of elderly persons. This includes my mother and stepdad who are both in their eighties and have health issues. They require dietary assistance, transportation to medical appointments, shopping trips, etc. I recently provided full time assistance to my mother including administering a daily injection needed during her recovery following shoulder replacement surgery. I also currently transport and accompany a cousin recovering from cancer surgery to his medical appointments. Following my retirement from the U.S. Department of Labor, I assisted an elderly woman with meals, transportaion to medical appointments, banking and shopping for groceries. While my experience has been voluntary, I recently accepted a paid position to assist a blind friend for 10 days in Jan. in Sugarland, Texas while her daughter and son-in-law take a cruise.
