About Lauren

Growing up, I attended studio dance classes. Every year there were multiple performances that included various age levels, so being able to patiently interact with younger kids was key. Additionally, I occasionally substitute taught for the younger girls' classes. This was a great experience in terms of learning to be an approachable, responsible role model. As a college student, I participated in several mission trips. These trips involved hours of volunteering, many of which focused on kids in various communities. We held day camps and organized activities. These trips taught me a lot about adapting to and understanding someone else's way of life. Locally, I have spent a summer as a camp counselor. We spent the summer organizing activities for kids of all ages - swimming, fishing, kayaking, etc. Recently, I have spent a lot of time babysitting for kids of friends and family members. Mealtime, playtime, nap/bedtime are all in my repertoire!
