About Laura

Hello! I am a student at George Mason University pursuing a B. A. in Psychology with a concentration in Developmental Psychology and on track for a minor in ASL. I have worked with children ages 4 months - 16 years old in a variety of settings such as a teacher aide, swim instructor, tutor, babysitter, event sitter, RBT (behavioral therapist), and more recently, teach Pre-K - 5th grade programs for up to 15 students for subjects including Spanish, Science, Music and Movement. I tutor subjects ranging from Pre-K/Kindergarten/Elementary subjects, Algebra, Geometry, Biology, time management and studying techniques. I have experience working with children diagnosed with Autism and/or ADHD, teaching skills such as vocal communication in English and Spanish/ASL/AAC or SGD support, community support, social behaviors, etc. My goals include finishing my undergrad, going to graduate school to further study Developmental Psychology, and making my passion of teaching children a lifelong career.
