About Laura

I am a retired school teacher who just retired this past July. I taught 1st and 2nd grade for 31 years in Baltimore Country. I love teaching children to read and become better readers. I also have an area of interest in mathematics. I am willing to tutor at my home or travel to yours. I'd describe my personality as fun, caring and respectful. I like tutoring because I can make positive connections with children when we are one-to-one. I started tutoring when when I first started teaching back in the 80's. In my spare time, I like to read, read, read! I also like to travel and cook. One thing you should know about me is I have three grown children of my own. Two of them are also in education.
