About Laura

I am patience, open-minded, compassionate, resilient, intuitive, honest and mindful. I'm an active listener who enjoys being creative and flexible. I started tutoring 9 years ago in schools and one on one. My specialty with tutoring is elementary through middle school. I have worked in reading and math intervention programs. Tutoring students one on one and/ or in small groups of four. In my spare time, I like to be adventurous with my family, reading, crafting, hiking, gardening and playing tennis and basketball. My personality is kind, patience, and detailed oriented. I'm attentive, consistent and mindful. I like tutoring and seeing the confidence that exudes from a student after they see the success of their hard work and dedication. being able to personalize my approach to each individual. I enjoy seeing students feel confident in the classrooms. I strive for them become independent scholars with organization through note taking. I encourage students to use their resources.
