About Katie

I have always enjoyed caring for children whether it was being a nanny for an infant one summer and 3-year-old one spring, babysitting my niece, or hanging with my little cousins. My previous work experience was for the Oregon Dept of Education (3+ years), for Delta Gamma Center for children with visual impairments, and University City Children's Center. I love finding creative activities to engage children and expand their imagination. Participating in trainings, conferences, and my graduate social work/admin program, I have background knowledge and experience with education and child development. My long-term career goals are in strategic planning for the education sector so that programs may better serve children and families. In a caregiver role, I look forward to supporting positive and meaningful experiences for children and their families at their home.
