About Portia

My experience working with children began in high school when I starting babysitting and nannying. Early on I realized my passion to work with children and wanted to build a career with it. While earning my master's degree in Early Childhood Education/ Special Education (2018) and working at an early childhood learning center, my experience and skill set continued to grow. I was a lead sub for the 1-year-old classroom, secondary teacher in the infant room and became a lead teacher of a 2-year-old classroom. I am also a certified teacher birth- kindergarten in Kansas. Through coursework and real life hands on experience, I found an enthusiasm for inclusive education as well as early intervention. I also have experience working one-on-one with young children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have the heart, values and education to help young children grow and thrive in their environment! Let's work together to create functional goals and a plan to best help your little one(s)!
