About Kathryn

My name is Grace and I am an alumna of UNC Asheville, where I graduated with distinctions in Literature and Classics. I have always been a lover of words and languages; some of my earliest memories are falling asleep with a book under my pillow so that I could hear it "whisper" its story to me as I drifted off. In middle and high school, I took about three years each of Spanish and French, a decision which fueled my later desire to learn as many languages as I could, including Greek and Latin for my Classics degree. In college, I maintained a 3. 8 GPA in all my courses, even in Classics--already a challenge in and of itself! By my senior year, I had completed my thesis on female sexuality in Stephen King's It, for which I won Best Senior Thesis. Perhaps nothing has been more important in my life than school and the pursuit of knowledge--it motivates me and I couldn't imagine my life without it. As a tutor it is my goal to impart that same love of learning to my students!
