About Katherine

I have been a teacher since 2016, where I have been a classroom teacher for first, third and fourth graders. I have taught Washington State, Wisconsin, and also in Mexico, New Zealand and in India. I have a degree in Elementary Education from Western Washington University, teaching K-8 all subjects, and then two certifications to teaching reading and to speakers of other languages K-12. I have been a tutor since 2009, and have been a full and part time nanny in Woodinville, Wa and in Bellingham. I have also been a soccer coach, summer camp director and backpacking and mountaineering guide! All to say I love working with kids and adults to see growth and development. I love finding a students skill set and their learning style to best serve them to achieve their learning goals. I also love working with parents and caregivers as a team to see success for their child.
