About Karla

I have been volunteering and working with seniors for the past 10 years. I started out as an activities coordinator at Presbyterian homes in Chanhassen, Minnetonka, Excelsior and Wayzata. For the past 3 years I have worked on my own doing companion care and being a pianist at several senior communities. I like to think of myself as a substitute daughter who can be there helping mom or dad when children are not able to be there. I love entertaining and getting people out and about where they have something to look forward to. You will find that I am very patient, warm and empathetic as well as a person who loves to laugh and brighten someone's day. Over the years, I have worked with seniors who have had dementia, Parkinson's, ALS, or have suffered from a stroke. References are available upon request. I also have access to a handicap van for transportation.
